Ingredients:
- 10 cups of all-purpose apples (peeled and sliced into cubes without the core)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup water
- 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
(For
topping)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup oats
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup melted or cubed butter
Directions
- Preheat and ready the oven to 350° Fahrenheit.
- In a mixing bowl, mix in sliced apples, white sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Toss properly until ingredients are fairly mixed.
- Transfer apple mixture in a baking pan (9x13), make the apples even.
- In another smaller bowl, toss in flour, baking powder, baking soda, brown sugar, and butter; mix together or you can mix through a food processor until ingredients are in crumbs. Then, pour gradually into the pan over the apples.
- Bake at 350° Fahrenheit for about 45 minutes or until apples are tender not mushy.
- Let it cool for 15 minutes or less, then serve in individual plates. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream if you prefer.
